I wonder if this is how synesthetic individuals experience music. It would be interesting to neuroimage synesthetes, but most likely it would be difficult to find subjects.
The recording is not very good though. I would prefer the tempo faster, and a the rubato more obvious. Better recordings can be found on youtube.
